NC Cheerleaders attended UCA camp in Maryville at Northwest Missouri State University July 6-9. They put in 12 hour days learning cheers, dances, and stunts finishing with a competition. The team received 1st place for the camp routine and 2nd place for the game day cheers. Great start to the 24-25 Cheer Competition Season.

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons. Monday, May 6th was Haywards 5th grade Graduation. This program gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence.

Last Thursday the entire 5th grade class had the privilege of celebrating Law Day at the Otoe County Courthouse. Students met and interacted with members of our local Judicial Branch of Government. They participated in a mock trial and saw a demonstration of a K-9 search.
