Nebraska City Elementary Families!
We are excited to kick off our Pioneers on the Move Fun Run fundraiser on Monday, October 12. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for outdoor classroom tables at Hayward, an indoor Rock Climbing Wall at Northside and to strengthen our school community. Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. And this year, we have more needs than we’ve ever had before, which means we need your support more than ever. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at funrun.com. Sharing IS supporting! Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick off.

Starting Wednesday, September 23, Nebraska City Public Schools will provide all breakfast and lunches at no cost to all enrolled students through December 31st 2020 or until funding runs out. Please see the district homepage for additional details.
Tuesday, September 22nd, juniors are taking the pre-ACT and seniors will take the ACT. Freshman and sophomores do not report on this day.
Nebraska City Public Schools will continue to operate in the YELLOW zone for the upcoming week of September 21st through September 25th.
Katie Nielson, a 2018 NCHS Graduate and daughter of Deane & Rhonda Nielson, had applied for and has been awarded the American FFA Degree. This is the highest honor an FFA member can receive and less than 1% of FFA members ever receive it. Please congratulate her if you see her!
NCPS has identified a staff member with a positive COVID-19 case at Northside Elementary. The students of the families that had direct contact have been notified. Please refer any questions to SEDHD."
Nebraska City Public Schools will continue to operate in the YELLOW zone for the upcoming week of school, September 15th to the 18th. Students do not have school on Monday, September 14th, due to a teacher in-service.

NCPS schools will operate in the YELLOW zone for the upcoming week of August 24th — August 28th.
At this time, Northside will operate in YELLOW Tier 2 for the week of August 24 - 28.
