
NC Cheerleaders attended UCA camp in Maryville at Northwest Missouri State University July 6-9. They put in 12 hour days learning cheers, dances, and stunts finishing with a competition. The team received 1st place for the camp routine and 2nd place for the game day cheers.
Great start to the 24-25 Cheer Competition Season.

Haywards Field Day 2024








D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons. Monday, May 6th was Haywards 5th grade Graduation. This program gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence.



Friday, May 3rd Haywards 4th graders visited the Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center.



Last Thursday the entire 5th grade class had the privilege of celebrating Law Day at the Otoe County Courthouse. Students met and interacted with members of our local Judicial Branch of Government. They participated in a mock trial and saw a demonstration of a K-9 search.


Friday, Haywards Mrs. Hayes and the 5th grade class conducted a CSI. American Revolution: Who Stole King George III Teacup.






Recently our 3rd graders visited Morrill Hall in Lincoln, Nebraska. They visited and explored the Planetarium. Learned about fossils and about their past.

Friday, April 26th NCTC hosted a children's program celebrating Arbor Day here at Hayward. They partnered with Arbor Day Farm providing each student with a tree sapling as well as Arbor Lanes giving a summer bowling coupon.




Thank you Honeywell American Meter Co. for gifting Hayward students with water bottles for our upcoming Field Day Events.
