We are One Pioneer Family! From PK to Grade 5 our future cheerleaders joined the High School cheerleaders to show support for the NCH Girls Basketball Team.





Pioneer Cheerleaders competed in Grand Island today at the state competition. They brought home an academic award and a day filled with memories!



Congrats to these Pioneer wrestlers on qualifying for the state wrestling tournament! Addisyn Walters, Makayla Vasser, Oscar Gonzalez, Gabe Hartman, Drew Weddle! Good Luck!

The FAFSA is now live! Visit https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to complete your FAFSA application. Remember, you and your senior will need to create an FSA ID number prior to completing a FAFSA. Use the guide below to do that step.

Ms. Calfee’s English 2 and Honors classes are analyzing Ray Bradbury’s "The Illustrated Man". Students explore the captivating tales etched on his skin in their collaborative Google Slides presentations.



Esports @ NCHS features three action-packed seasons: fall, winter, & spring. Each season brings a fresh set of games to the table, showcasing the diverse skills of our players. Winter games include MarioKart & Overwatch 2. Coach Myers looks on as gamers discuss their strategy.


Financial Beginnings, a nonprofit, teaches JAG students about banking, credit, investments, & loans. Jamie Vaughn from Charles Schwab shared insights on "Laying the Foundation for Personal Finance." Mrs. DeVorss is the JAG instructor at NCHS.


Ms. Knutson's ag classes are learning about keeping animals healthy & herds safe from disease. Her classroom vision is to creating lifelong skills, memories, & a knowledge of agriculture by allowing students to challenge & encourage each other with hands-on learning.


Ms. Nutter's PE classes are learning tchoukball (pronounced: chewk-ball). Tchoukball is a team handball sport that requires athletic prowess and mental agility. It was created in 1970 by Swiss biologist Hermann Brandt. You can learn more here https://usa-tchoukball.org/



Seniors in Mrs. Blobaum's anatomy class adding integumentary system features to their anatomy models - hair, nails, sweat glands, tattoos, piercings.



Mrs. Denniston runs our main study hall. Her interactive yearbook wall is just a snapshot of the lives she has impacted as a staff member at NCHS. Her classroom vision: To be helpful & accommodating; To provide a safe & quiet environment to study & complete homework.


College-bound seniors are invited to attend the totally FREE NCHS Scholarship Night on December 13th at 6pm in the NCHS library. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with professionals on resumes, personal essays, scholarship applications, college applications, or any other college-related project! Pizza will be provided!


Arts Across Nebraska brings free performance to Nebraska City High School on November 15!



Back to School open House Information


Reminder!! NCPS has starting serving free breakfast and lunch to all kids ages 18 and younger. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 8:30 am and Lunch is served from 11:30 am to Noon. Let your kids know that they need to wait until 8 am for breakfast and 11:30 am for lunch. We will not serve before those start times.
